Month: June 2018

Nimbus

Nimbus came to us from Sleepy Hollow Farm. He is a purebred pedigreed velveteen lop with fur as soft as silk. Rain and halos make me think of Nanny.

Nimbus

1) a luminous cloud or a halo surrounding a supernatural being or a saint. a light, color, etc., that surrounds someone or something.

2) a large grey rain cloud. “nimbus clouds”

Bit-O-Honey V+VV86 6M AR (sold)

DOB: 2/9/2018

This girl. She was born exactly one month and one day after Nanny passed. I wish there were words to adequately describe my emotional state at that time. Grief transformed me into an actress of the best kind, fully capable of fooling even those who know me best into believing I was alright.

Waterloo Pond SD Bit-O-Honey came to us already named. A name I had no input on, but one that suited her, our homestead, and that period of time in my life perfectly. We had just lost our first honeybee colony as well, despite every effort, and she came as such a clear reminder of the promise Romans 8:28 holds. Honey in the Bible is a sign of abundance, prosperity and ease. Lord knows I needed some of that!!!

We are quite excited to share that she will pass variations of her name to her kids and then on to their new families who could use a “bit of honey” in their lives, too 😊 Stay tuned, friends. Reservations for her kids are free, and open. Babies due end of February.  Bit’s retained daughter Ruth from 2019 is stunning.

**to be noted. Bit is on milk test this year, and has met production requirements through ADGA to earn her 6M milk star.  She is also on track to achieve Advanced Registry for production, butterfat and protein levels!!  She is a beautiful blue-eyed cream girl with excellent dairy character. She was commended for her legs at her very first show!
