This girl is HUGE! Lavish was offered to me by my dear friend Ashley at E. B. Farm Goats! I am so insanely grateful to have this doe and the opportunity to have her offspring in my herd. Friends in goats are the best of the best!! Lavish traces back to Lucky*Stars LOT Vivian EEEE 94 and blends BEAUTIFULLY with the genetics we are currently working with!
Below, you’ll find a list of animals for sale currently at Purple Ribbon Homestead! Our sales policy is as follows! No animal is considered reserved without a non-refundable deposit. We offer our babies first come-first served unless otherwise previously reserved. All animals sold are guaranteed healthy and disease-free. Herd test results are available upon request. Once an animal leaves the homestead, due to different environments, biosecurity issues, and management practices we do not honor returns, replacements or refunds. Every baby comes with a care sheet, transitional food, and a bottle they’re used. Breeding stock is sold with application for registration, tattoos, and vaccines. Baby goats not picked up by 6 weeks of age and bunnies by 8 weeks will incur an added care fee of $5 per day. We hope you find what you’re looking for, for sale below!
We feed: Tucker Milling Dairy Goat, Tucker Milling Nature Crest Rabbit Feed, Orchardgrass/Alfalfa mix free-choice, Sweetlix Meat Maker minerals, and Show Flock 17% by Tucker Milling to the chickens, ducks and quail. We sometimes also supplement our feeds with additives depending on body condition and production.
Due to the size of our homestead, our LaMancha breeding program is destined to remain small with a limit of four does maximum. That said, it was extremely important to me to choose the best genetics I could to help reach the big goals I set forth when I brought my first girl home. When Gillispie’s J Camilla was born, long-legged and camel-tan, I absolutely fell in love with her. Her dam, Aspen-Hill’s JT Cindy Crawford 1*M VG86 (notable black beauty mark right above her lip), was always favorite of mine. When Val at Gillispie’s County Line Farm offered Camilla aka “Wednesday” to me as a beautifully freshened adult, I could not possibly say no. And that’s how it started. This breed is SO joyful and goofy! She makes me laugh daily and she is a true joy to milk.
When it came time to select a buck, I knew exactly what I was looking for, but wasn’t quite sure where to find it. Luckily, when we had Primo collected, I found the perfect herd-sire. Lucky*Star’s RJ Legend is an Epic son (like Wednesday’s sire) and is sired by the son of the 2021 NATIONAL CHAMPION!
We had Wednesday laparoscopic AI’d and were blessed with two absolutely striking girls. Purple Ribbon’s Petite Drama was my keeper kid and she in maturing into a beautiful doe.
Wednesday earned her milk star in 2022!
